Allie and Michael’s desert inspired wedding hosted the celebration of their love at the Clayton House in Scottsdale. Because of the blank slate the venue offered, the day was made all their own . Cacti elements were scattered throughout the design. The desert plant could be seen on the cake decorations, centerpieces, ceremony aisle and invitations. All of the pieces certainly came together perfectly because of the neutral color palette choice paired with the design.
Wearing a stunning ball gown dress, Allie carried a garden style bouquet. Her bouquet featured various greens. There were several types of eucalyptus, with darker greens also used for depth. White was the primary color. The soft color seen throughout the other wedding details was tied into the design through the blush, champagne and taupe hints in the bouquet. Allie and Michael’s bridal photos were shot in a gorgeous desert setting. Because of the pairing of their colors with the background, the photos are sure to be a treat to view for a lifetime. Not to mention the lovely couple in them!
A copper arch, hand made by the groom’s father, added a personal touch for the couple to exchange vows underneath. Floral of white garden roses and varying kinds of wild green eucalyptus were featured on the arch. Cacti and white lanterns guided guests to their seats at the ceremony. Simple and elegant greenery around candles lined the aisle the bride walked. She was escorted by her father on the way to her true love.
At the reception, another complimenting element was the custom welcome sign. Along with welcoming their guests, it was adorned with a garland. The garland closely resembled the arch florals. The couple enjoyed the reception at a sweetheart table. Resting across the top of their table was a green garland. Cacti stems with hand painted numbers were used for centerpieces. Guests looking for a sweet treat needed to look no further than the donut wall constructed by the baker. Rounding out the desserts was a white naked cake with gold topper of their names next to a cactus stem.
Allie and Michael’s day was full of family, friends and above all, love. I am so thankful to have been able to be a part of their joyous and beautiful day!
