Maddie and Andrew had the perfect Arizona desert elopement at Usery Mountain Regional Park east of Phoenix. Towering cacti, intimate family gathered, and the loveliest complimenting floral to the surrounding desert were just some of the pieces that made their day so special.
Maddie was a joy to work with. In fact, her joy was contagious! It was such a sweet experience working with her. I couldn’t wait for their day to arrive because I knew how excited she was about the desert for her destination elopement. The couple fully embraced the outdoors for their ceremony. A gorgeous mountain set the backdrop with muted desert colors surrounding them.
Maddie has more enthusiasm for succulents than anyone I know! So, of course we included succulents in her bouquet. She was even able to take them home to preserve and grow, to remember her elopement adventure by. So dang sweet!
The desert was Maddie’s inspiration all the way. I loved creating the color palette of burnt orange pincushion protea, golden rose, champagne rose, taupe scabiosa pod, green spiral eucalyptus and a little hint of blush in that queen protea. There is so much more than brown to the landscape when you take the moment to embrace its beauty!
Kinsley Nicole did a phenomenal job capturing the couple’s sweet moments during the day. Her style really was an amazing pairing with the palette and desert backdrop. I also love that Maddie included the Cruisin’ Photo Booth Bus. The pictures were so fun and they even managed to include the desert theme with the bus, as they took in the views from the back of the VW!
It was so fun and an honor to have been apart of Maddie and Andrew’s Arizona desert elopement. I love that they made the day their own. And also that they loved the desert so much to embrace its beauty for the celebration of their love.
