Love was woven into every piece of this Mountain Shadows modern desert wedding. The love between the bride and groom was witnessed in the visible joy they shared. The love of the desert was seen in the beautiful space and backdrop Mountain Shadows offered for the celebration. But maybe most unique was the love the couple showed to each person in attendance.

Design Inspiration

When it came to creating the design, desert centric was the goal! Jessy and her mom were a joy to brainstorm ideas with. The bride wanted to show her family and friends a beautiful desert celebration. She loved the Arizona sunset as the inspiration for the bold colors we included in her palette. But more than the design, Jessy was intentional in making sure every person felt loved and celebrated. The couple wrote personalized notes to each guest for their escort card. I was blown away by their genuine love of people. Their big day was about their love, sure, but it was also about their tribe, and I found so much joy in serving these two thoughtful people!

Sunset Highlights

Jessy decided on a greenery only bouquet. I found it so sweet that her mom, who absolutely loves flowers, even agreed the style fit Jessy best. We used bright colors to accent the custom geometric arch from Dang Fine Rentals. It went perfectly with their unique carpet aisle runner of rich red. We included hints of pampas with their modern wooden signs. Bursts of sunset colors highlighted their acrylic table numbers, which are definitely a new favorite of mine! The simple tablescape filled the space with romantic light as candles were the key to their reception design. Honestly, the Arizona sunset did the heavy lifting, with an amazing sky of peach, orange, pink, and yellow. The guests were dining surrounded by the magnificent colors.

I also had the opportunity to work with some very sweet ladies that made this day come to life. Jessy’s wedding planner, Carly of Riding Tandem, and her team of interns were fantastic in working to get all of the details set for their big day. Signs, table numbers, personal notes at each seat, and plenty more in between.

Olivia Markle was AMAZING at capturing the true joy on Jessy’s face. It was so fun seeing the way Olivia captured all of their details as well. Jessy and Joey were just the sweetest and absolutely reveled in the excitement of their Mountain Shadows modern desert wedding full of love.
