Mountain views, pine forest landscapes, and the Grand Canyon in the distance are just some of the features creating the backdrop for an Arizona Snowbowl wedding. This adventurous venue is sure to be a high point, pun intended, for a mountainous celebration! Arielle and Vince had the most beautiful “I do” day, exchanging vows under the northern Arizona skies at Arizona Snowbowl. It was quite a treat to bring some blooms to this scenic Arizona Snowbowl mountain wedding!

Flagstaff Adventuring

Every time I talked to Arielle, she was either heading up or just coming back from up north in between days in the valley. Her love for northern Arizona made it the perfect place for family and friends to join her and Vince for their wedding day celebration. I also was a fan of the dream team the couple had assembled for wedding day, made up of Riding Tandem, Alexandra Loraine, and the Snowbowl event staff. She let the team run with her inspiration to create a gorgeous event!

I was excited to make the drive to Flagstaff, and enjoy some cooler September weather. While it was just barely beginning to cool down after a hot Phoenix summer, it was lovely in Flagstaff. Another highlight of the trip up was stopping at the new Lux in Flagstaff before driving up the mountain to Snowbowl. Shout out to the barista from their central Phoenix location working that day who knew Carlie from Riding Tandem’s drink and correct name spelling without asking! Quite impressive, and evidence of Carlie’s love of Lux back in the valley.

Planning the Design

Arielle was such a chill bride throughout the whole planning process and on wedding day. She got ready in a yurt off of the lodge at Snowbowl. The backdrop for the ceremony was of course the view of pine trees in the mountains of Snowbowl. I created a floral and greenery design on the pergola at the edge of the deck off of the lodge. Her bridesmaids wore mauvey-taupe colored dresses. This color was continued into the floral color palette. Keeping the palette neutral, plenty of white floral and greenery was included as well. It was a lovely mix of greens and floral for a laid-back, but romantic style. After working with her on the design, I could tell it perfectly matched Arielle. Did I mention she’s a firefighter too?! All the respect to her!

Reception Design

Full of desert succulents and wild garden style floral, running with her ideas was fun when creating their three unique centerpieces for the guest tables. The options included a floral centerpiece in a cement vase, a succulent centric piece with terrariums and unique cement parts, and a candle centerpiece design. There were also hints of wine, the beverage not color! The couple, as wine aficionados, brought a personal touch using wine corks for their escort board and name cards. For the head table we focused on bringing pieces from all the table elements together. A lovely fabric runner on the head table tied in the color. It all came together as a romantic and classy experience with a little bit of desert flare.

It was a joy to work with Arielle to help her family and friends celebrate her and Vinces’ marriage. Working alongside her amazing vendors including the Riding Tandem team and Alexandra Lorraine was also a blast to bring Arielle and Vince’s big day to life! Not to mention the stunning views at this scenic Arizona Snowbowl mountain wedding!
