Sometimes we send our bouquets out for an adventure instead of delivering them to bridal suites on wedding days. We are always excited to see the photos of those moments, with just a hint of floral from Array Design in them.
We created a bouquet for this couple for their engagement shoot with the wonderful Viet Truong of Truth and Beauty Photography at Canyon Lake and Tonto National Forest. Viet knows how to help you celebrate your engagement. He encourages the addition of a floral bouquet for a fun detail and to share a sweet dessert over a bottle of wine. Can’t help but celebrate with that beautiful view too.
Viet shared some thoughts with us about the perfect engagement session, and we are sharing his tips below!
For the perfect engagement session, photographers and couples have to realize that every single couple and session is different.
Here are my top 3 tips for every couple to rock their engagement session.
Forget the cameras
Be vulnerable
Be real
With the amount of “inspo” that is out there, more and more couples want their engagement sessions to look a certain way, and feel a certain way. I want their session to feel like them. I want it to be representative of who they are as a couple. Their quirks and dynamics are what should set the mood and tone of a session. They should embrace their boisterous laughter and take solace in any tender moments that come. For all of this to happen I remind all couples to be a little vulnerable, a little honest and forget that the cameras are there.
The engagement session featured here included cheesecake and wine which are sentimental to the couple, and served as a perfect activity to enjoy the sunset. The beauty of a well curated bouquet does not have to be reserved just for the wedding day, bouquets for your engagement session make for the perfect accessory on your wedding day The variety of colors and textures of the greenery and blooms elevate and add dimension to any engagement session.
