So often eloping is associated with far off countries and only the two of you. I invite you to throw away that stigma and think about the possibilities of eloping in our own beautiful Arizona. Rich desert colors, sky high cacti, soaring mountains, even the forest feels in Northern Arizona, there are many possibilities.
I was so excited when Allison reached out to me about her bohemian dream floral design ideas for a Cathedral Rock elopement in Sedona. Her in-state celebration was surrounded by beautiful desert walls of rock and the muted greens of desert plants. But I’m sure an even better surrounding was the intimate group of family present to celebrate the day with the couple.
Allison was so excited for her big day to wed her love, Zach, in Sedona. I couldn’t help but share in her contagious enthusiasm to say ‘I do” in such a stunning spot no manmade venue could come close to. As a photographer herself, Allison was conscious of how her day would look in person, and through a lens. She brought some great design ideas to the table as a result! I loved helping bring her bohemian dreams to life.
The color palette was where she put her focus, which was perfect for the desert. With color decided on, she was open to letting my design ideas run when it came to the corresponding fun floral details. After understanding what arrangements and decor she had in mind, I was able to suggest a few simple arrangements to tie the bride and groom’s floral into the setting.
Handing Allison’s bouquet over to her and seeing her face light up was so fun! The muted colors of gold and burnt orange with hints of dried and living foliage came together perfectly for her red rock backdrop. Burnt orange pincushion protea and muted gold rose were some of my favorite flowers featured.
Allison’s everyday style was magnified to make her big day with Zach elopement perfection! From the dress to the simple but perfect shoes, it was all lovely. I am so honored to have been able to provide some blooms for the celebration!
