This is the first post in a series I am excited to share with you on the topic of floral color palettes. Color palettes can make or break a design. Most brides have something in mind before reaching out to me, and I love hearing so many diverse ideas. My hope is this information is helpful in the color discovering process.
My focus will be on floral colors as opposed to whole wedding design colors. Of course, the two go hand in hand, but I wanted to make that note! Consider it a launching pad for your floral design dreams! Check out my post here for some thoughts on how to choose a palette. I will be focusing on a main color in each post and some wonderful options stemming (pun intended) from there!
Gold is a warm and rich color. It has a way of lightening a mood, and celebrating the earth tones like walking through a field of waist high grass. It can also bring the elegance and romance, making a soft statement, or pop as I like to say. Gold gets along quite well with neutral colors, but overall lends well to many paired color options. Some colors that first come to my mind to go with gold are taupe, peach, and mustard hues. For a boho style, gold is well highlighted with dried elements. I am including some of my favorite arrangements below that feature a key color of gold, with variations in their details.
The flower that is constant in each of these bouquets is a Gold rose. The flowers making up the rest of the palette vary between arrangements, or are used in a different proportion to the other colors and textures to achieve a desired look.
