Minimalist Modern Spring Wedding at Omni Montelucia

Jan 23

A stunning desert backdrop set the scene for this spring minimalist modern spring wedding at Omni Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. An all white wedding with stunning custom details, there was endless lovely baby’s breath with white rose accents throughout the day.

Baby’s Breath Reception Design

The couple’s traditional ceremony was held at St. George Othodox Church in Phoenix, with minimal flower additions including six aisle floor arrangements. Their reception with beautifully designed with numerous floral focuses. They chose long reception tables in the outdoor space at Omni Montelucia. Suspended over the tables were two baby’s breath canopies. We helped to create a custom photo backdrop with the structure and custom “R” letter by The Details Duo. The backdrop was completely covered in baby’s breath and the “R” filled in with white roses. We even captured a time lapse of it coming to life!

White was the only color seen at the reception and it was lovely. The place settings were all white with silver cutlery and clear glassware. Baby’s breath and white rose centerpieces were set on the pure white table cloths, with white plates and napkins at each seat. Candles were featured on all the tables, most of them floating candles with other kinds added throughout. The church ceremony aisle floral was repurposed in front of the cake table.

The sweetheart table continued with the minimalist modern design with modern white place settings. We loved the chandeliers suspended over their table and covered the shepherd hooks holding them in greenery for a more natural look. There was a garland of baby’s breath with white roses scattered throughout designed to look like it was growing up the table, and simple candles upon the table.

Minimalist Modern Signage

The couple chose clear acrylic design pieces in certain spaces of the event. The cocktail hour space walkway utilized Array Design’s clear acrylic columns with candles on them. It made for a nice modern touch. We added Italian ruscus to six columns for an organic look, each with their own shape and style.

The Details Duo also created a custom escort board of columns with guest names with cocktail drinks awaiting guests on interspersed shelf of the board. We filled some of the columns with greenery here as well.

We have to mention the painter on site who captured the finished space on canvas!

Afterparty

While we didn’t add any floral to the afterparty, we would be remiss to not mention how amazing it was! Fun suspended lights hung over the dance floor. Their name was in lights at the front of the black and white checkered dance floor with a live band supplying the entertainment. Anna with Hudson Grey’s great team deconstructed and reconstructed the floral photo backdrop wall to the afterparty. There was a 360 degree photo booth that was awesome. The couple’s photographer Saje, did a phenomenal job capturing the day seen in the images.
