When it comes to planning a wedding, mother nature isn’t always following the same timeline as everyone else come the big day. Looking at first like some major rain interference, the day turned into an absolute DREAM for the couple. Clouds parted, rain stopped, and the most beautiful rainbow no one could plan for graced the ceremony with a visit. Berenise and Adam’s sweet spring wedding was a combination of fresh rain smells and a whimsical setting of love uniting.
Starting as a sprinkle, and turning into buckets, it was looking like the backup plan indoors was going to have to happen. Shout out to Stephanie of Some Like It Classic for handling the rainy day schedule like a champ. I felt at ease with her taking the lead, which really made what could have been much more stressful run smoothly for the sweet bride and groom. Berenise wanted a whimsical and romantic celebration, and I am so excited the rain stopped for her dreams to come true in the space envisioned.
I loved that Berenise chose to use a beautiful circular arch for a unique twist on the ceremony backdrop. The hydrangeas loved the extra hydration much more than a dry desert day. Other white floral included spirea, roses, and hypericum berries. As the rain cleared just in time for the ceremony to begin, the guests were able to enjoy the most beautiful soft light and rainbow in the sky as Berenise and Adam exchanged vows.
The floral color palette perfectly complemented the mood of the day. The bridesmaids were in soft palette dress, allowing the flowers in their hands to pop just slightly. The bouquets were delicate and full with trailing white ribbon. Textured boutonnieres, one of my favorite options, also paired perfectly with the groom and groomsmen’s stylish suits.
Rain remnants also made for gorgeous photos by Rennai an associate photographer with Melissa Jill, not something you get to see very often in Arizona wedding photos. There were fun shots with an adorable umbrella. The rainbow that appeared was breathtaking. It is such a sweet memory to look back on, as if the skies were celebrating Berenise and Adam’s day with them.
Floral design at the reception was a mixture of pillar candle centerpieces and floral forward centerpieces. I like this option of mixing up the table designs for a more diverse look in the space. Gold vases held the color complimenting centerpieces of soft pink and whites with greenery. China mums, various roses, ranunculus and hypericum berries made up the look. For the head table, we had greens layered freely. Softer than a full garland in design, as to not be as heavy.
The rain only made this day glisten more for this couple. Working to bring their designs to life was a blast. Berenise was such a sweet bride, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of their big day!
