Modern + Minimal Wedding Design

Apr 25

Some brides believe that less is more. These brides appreciate the simple yet extravagant things in life. There is a uniqueness to modern weddings since they highlight the people in attendance and not all the “wedding things”.

The Modern Minimal Bride

Being a minimal bride means that you get to emphasize all your favorite things. Typically the brides opt for a fresh color palette such as white and green. Since the colors are not loud, brides can get bold with their floral choices such as calla lilies, frilly tulips, or anthurium. The floral arrangements can be a show-stopping piece or simply be an accessory on your day. Candles can be placed strategically and not overdone to keep the minimalist theme.

When looking for a venue, make sure if they have an accent brick wall or a killer view that it fits with the aesthetic.

Modern Minimal Warehouse Chic

This bride opted for very clean and bright white florals throughout her big day. We used roses, anthurium, and little white florals for the bouquet. For the sweetheart table, the garland is filled with white roses with pops of iris and baby breaths. Another minimal aspect was the three candles in front of the table.

This fun bride eloped up in Sedona. She wanted something very simple yet elegant. Her bouquet was long stem white roses. Her choice of florals accented the red rocks and made the florals pop so much more!

The florals for this wedding were breathtaking. For the majority of the tables, centerpieces consisting of Italian ruscus were a base with white roses and stock. The bridal party (minus the Bride and Groom) had a baby’s breath garland running across. The sweetheart table had a garland as well that had Italian ruscus, baby’s breath, and white roses. The bride had a smaller bouquet consisting of classic white florals such as roses, spray roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus. The groom wore a succulent boutonniere with a pop of baby’s breath behind.

Minimal weddings are great for the bride that knows what she wants and showcases only the most beautiful and most important things to the couple. Few celebrities such as Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger opted to have a minimalist wedding with only their closest friends and family. Minimal weddings have a clean and organized feel while allowing the guest to concentrate on the happy couple.

The modern minimalist wedding fun doesn’t have to stop here!
